Caritas Sri Lanka – SEDEC
Caritas Sri Lanka and its Partner CAFOD invited C R L International to develop the Child Protection Policy for Caritas Sri Lanka. C R L International decided to develop this policy with the active participation of the full-time staff of Caritas Sri Lanka and children who have directly benefited from the work of Caritas in different parts of the country. The goal was to create a living document which could adapt to changing conditions.
C R L International conducted two workshop retreats for staff and children working and living in Tamil and Sinhala speaking areas of the country. The draft policy document will be presented to the Justice, Peace, and Human Development Commission of the Sri Lankan Catholic Bishops’ Conference for their comments and views.
