In 2007 C R L International organized and coordinated a project for Save the Children in Sri Lanka by consulting with a unique group of “experts”—children themselves. Children from five provinces were asked for their views about forming a Child Rights Network in the country. It was explained that the network would be managed by children living in different parts of the country and that they could drive this vehicle – the network - to any institution to make presentations about the problems faced by children, thereby engaging State institutions to address such issues.
